Bridgewater Chartering was founded in October 1983.

Based in Melbourne Bridgewater arranges the Sale & Purchase of ships of all types including new building contracting, second hand and demolition sales. Our global network of associates and our sophisticated communications infrastructure and database enable us to provide up-to-date quality market information in all market sectors

Bridgewater also has accumulated many years of experience in the chartering market, particularly in the Oil & Gas sectors and we are confident of being able to find the optimum solution to your transportation and logistics requirements.

With a sound and unblemished history, all business is conducted in a strictly ethical fashion and follows the principles as promoted by the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) in London.

Our Principal, Steve Randall has been a Fellow of the ICS since 1976 and has the recognition of his peers as an educated and experienced Chartered Shipbroker and may draw on the vast resources and networks available through the ICS worldwide.

During the years of experience obtained in the ship broking industry, Bridgewater has built up an unparalleled global network throughout the bulk shipping and chartering sectors and the Sale & Purchase Market.
